AKASAKA HEXAGON
2007
Tokyo, Japan
Standing at the foot of an urban plaza where many entertainment events take place and containing multiple restaurants, this building reflects the various scenes of activity that constantly surround the building through an origami-like façade. The dynamic arrangement of floors supports the specific needs of the occupants. 10-meter floor heights and large transparent curtain walls create an expansive interior space while open air service floors which accommodate ventilation and exhaust from the restaurants are provided every two stories.
